I'm about to pig out on cucumber and raw peas in the pods... yum... haha. I'm so hungry i figure i'd better fill up on something good before i even think about supper.
The pods are pretty good especially dipped in a little vidalia onion dressing from costco. I add a teaspoon of flax oil to the dressing which wards off cancer, suppresses hunger, supposedly unlocks stored fat and apparently increases metabolism. I take it mostly because i believe in the health benefits... ie. decrease in cancer rates etc. It's an omega 3 fat and really good for you.
I prefer to eat it as flax seed meal on oatmeal at breakfast but today i didn't get to eat my oatmeal at home so i'm getting it as flax oil instead. I first heard about it from the cancer society when i was diagnosed about 18mos ago and i used to drink it in shakes.
I find it's much easier to eat it on oatmeal. I stopped eating it over the last year cause i was all over the place with my exercise and nutrition... everything was on again off again... i'm just now finally able to get some consistency... *hoping anyway*.

"I have heard it all my life,
A voice calling a name i recognized as my own.
Sometimes it comes as a soft bellied whisper.
Sometimes it holds an edge of urgency.
But always it says:
Wake up my love.
You are walking asleep.
There's no safety in that."
