Been a quiet relaxing weekend. Kids have been at my parents since friday. My 4yr old is back and sleeping already because she's been sick. My 9 yr old got dropped off at a friends. I'm just trying to get throught the mountain of laundry that has accumulated yet again. Something's not right. I'm almost certain i was supposed to be born independently wealthy so i'd have someone to do these things for me. :P Oh well... next time i guess.
My parents took my kids to the docs. They tend to worry about everything whereas their mother the nurse needs to see major blood loss or pulselessness to become concerned. Anyway, they waited an hour to get my 4yr old in to the clinic with her cough... saturdays are busy... the little one tells the doc she's had it for years. My dad and the doc just about fell over laughing apparently. Of course it's just a virus as always and not much you can do about it. Gave her some strong prescription cough medicine so she can get some sleep just in time to bring her home cause my parents didn't get much sleep. Thanx mom.
Good G*d... i just got our house insurance renewal stuff and they are pointing out a new exclusion... the exclusion of terrorism. What a wonderful world. Well lets hope that never matters. Ha... i see they've added a "cyber-risks" exclusion as well. They aren't going to cover loss of data etc unless it's caused by a fire, explosion or smoke... not related to terrorism of course. :P Hmm interesting. Gotta phone them about the outdoor pool coverage... last time i looked we didn't have one.
Well hubs is off trying to get me a new CD/MP3 player. Trying to exchange the one i broke to be exact. That'll be kewl if he can pull that one off. I'll have to nail the next one to my treadmill.

"I have heard it all my life,
A voice calling a name i recognized as my own.
Sometimes it comes as a soft bellied whisper.
Sometimes it holds an edge of urgency.
But always it says:
Wake up my love.
You are walking asleep.
There's no safety in that."
