Endometrial Ablation?
A procedure that involves boiling hot saline and the uterus of busy career women or those that travel in order to end their periods forever. My first reaction to hearing about this? -- OMG that's horrible.
I first heard of this procedure on talk radio and was reminded of it again when i read about it in a local paper. The average normal period is just not that annoying that i would pay almost $3000 to have a relatively new procedure performed whose long term effects are unknown at this time.
I'm not talking about having this done for a medical problem.... that is entirely different. We're talking an elective procedure likened to facelifts, lipsuction, etc...performed solely because you don't want the bother of having a period ever again. Personally i find the whole idea distasteful and i wouldn't risk messing with something that isn't broken.
Oh and if you are unlucky enough to accidently get pregnant after this... you HAVE to have an abortion... no thanks... i think i'll pass on this one.

"I have heard it all my life,
A voice calling a name i recognized as my own.
Sometimes it comes as a soft bellied whisper.
Sometimes it holds an edge of urgency.
But always it says:
Wake up my love.
You are walking asleep.
There's no safety in that."
