Blood Donation
I finally found out something i've been wondering for the past year. Can you donate blood if you've had cancer? Well the answer seems obvious to me now but i guess i had to know for sure and my docs didn't know.
There are only two types of cancer they will allow you to continue donating blood with providing of course that the docs think you are cancer free now. Those are cervical and skin cancer. They have to be a certain type of skin and cervical cancer as well.
So i guess if you haven't thought of donating blood you might wanna give it a thought while you're still healthy and can donate. I waited too long. We don't get paid for it here in Canada so it's a strictly outta the goodness of your heart type of thing. If you want to know anything about donating in Canada you can call 1 888 2donate.

"I have heard it all my life,
A voice calling a name i recognized as my own.
Sometimes it comes as a soft bellied whisper.
Sometimes it holds an edge of urgency.
But always it says:
Wake up my love.
You are walking asleep.
There's no safety in that."
